Maharashtra Govt Bans Cell Phones In School

Maharashtra government has banned use of mobile phones in public and private schools upto class 10 across the state. It is also applicable for school teachers including the principal.
According to the order issued by the state’s School Education Department, a fine of Rs. 50 will be charged if the student is caught using mobile phone inside school premises and a fine of Rs. 100 will be charged in the case of teachers & other staffs are found using.
The decision on the exact date of the implementation of this ban will be taken by deputy education directors of each region. The Higher and Technical Education department would also implement these guidelines for college teachers and students.
