Indian Automobile Companies to cut down prices

swift_carAlmost all the major automobile companies in India has reduced the prices of its products after the government cut a tax as part of a stimulus package.

The car prices in India would be cut down between Rs.10,000 to Rs.75,000.

Hero Honda Motors Ltd, India’s leading motorcycle maker, has also decided to cut from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000 across its all bike models.

Ford Motor’s Indian unit has also decided to cut prices of its cars by Rs 17,000 to Rs 55,000. Maruti Suzuki’s 800 will cost Rs. 6000 less than its actual price. SX4 and the D’zire will cost about Rs.20,000 cheaper. Other vehicles from Maruti Suzuki, Zen, Alto and WagonR are down between Rs.6,000 to Rs. 18,000.

Toyota Motors has also decided to cut down between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 75,000.

Mitsubishi has cut prices by about Rs 25,000.

If the prices continuous to cut down, this will bring more cars and bikes on the roads :)
