A Virus Attacks More Than 8 Million Computers
A computer virus that has infected more than 8 million windows system this week. Computers having Windows has been only affected. The worm, which is know as Downadup(also known as Conficker) has infected nearly eight million PCs since its first version was released two years ago. It attacked a security hole in a networking component which is found in most windows systems.
Downadup is a large family of network worms which is difficult to remove, especially in case of an infection inside a corporate network.
According to F-Secure Corporation, an internet security firm, the worm has infected between 2.4 million and 8.9 million computers during the last four days.
Microsoft says the worm exploits a bug in the Windows Server service used by Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Server 2008.
It is the most serious large scale worm outbreak we have seen in recent years. It is a windows worm and it has large infections in Europe, United States and some parts of Asia. This worm does not spread over web or email. But if an infected laptop is connected to a corporate network, it will scan the network looking for machines to infect. The infected PCs could be used for variety of criminal purposes.

Yes…We also faced this massive worm attack. This would be huge problem when it infected Cooperate Network. Specially it denied file sharing and we cant go even any virus guard site or even microsoft site. Microsoft has been released three main security patches to avoid such issue…
And specifically other virus guards also give several solution for this
